The road to selling a home can be a long one but with the right people in your corner it can be much easier. When you are ready to sell your home, time really is money. A faster sale means fewer mortgage payments to make, less time spent dealing with the hassles of frequent home showings, and a higher sale price. This is why I have a checklist of elite professionals that make your home ready for the big sale.
Here is my checklist and first-hand experience from one of my clients, Grace.

Home stager

Home staging is effective as it emphasizes a property’s strengths and minimizes its weak points. When your home is well presented it gives a positive first impression. A survey by Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp. found that staged homes spent half the time on the market than non-staged homes and sold for more than six percent above the asking price. “Not only is a stager a trusted confidant but they can change the look and feel of your whole house and increase the value by thousands of dollars,” says Grace.

Cleaner

Before putting your home on the market, a cleaner can make a world of a difference in making your home sparkle. “A cleaner can get into spots and make your house shine as if it was brand new. A tidy home is a sold home,” adds Grace.

Photographer/Videographer

The first initial step that most home buyers do is browse listing photos online before deciding which homes to see in person. A professional photographer/videographer will know how to take the best photos by using lighting and flattering angels to highlight your home’s best qualities. “An IPhone photo just does not do the trick. People are looking for a reason to visit your home, so detailed photos and videos will be what sells it,” said Grace.

Handy Man

It is important to ensure that the little details are taken care of before listing such as paint chips, loose door knobs, loose cupboards, etc. Fixing these items will make selling your home much more appealing to the home buyer. The small things will add up to create the impression that your home has been neglected which would not make a first impression to a potential buyer.

Movers

Many people want to do the move on their own to save on costs. However, professional movers make the process smoother and less stressful. With movers you don’t need to worry about renting trucks, and finding family and friends to help you with the move. It’s an investment worth looking into.
Grace lastly states, “These extra helpers are worth the extra investment you will make in your home and most importantly, will help find the perfect buyer. Let your new buyer find their dream home with these helpful professionals by your side.”

Utilizing these real estate allies will make your home-selling process a breeze, with less stress, a quicker closing, and more money in your pocket.
